Our Story

A coffee house,
in an actual house.

Causeway is exactly what it sounds like. It's a converted two-story house in downtown Steamboat, full of warm Edison bulbs, exposed wood, and ceilings lined with old burlap coffee sacks. Rose, Matt and the crew built a place that feels less like a café and more like dropping by a friend's kitchen.

Everything here is made with care. Our espresso is locally roasted by Seedhouse Coffee Roasters, with notes of dark chocolate, dried cherry and pecan, and we weigh and time every single shot. Pastries are baked in-house and the boba is built by hand. It's a genuine mountain-town gathering spot, never a chain.

On Sunday mornings, the upstairs opens for the local Venue Church community.
